GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

 

  1. Date of Examination: 6th December 2014

  2. Please occupy your seats in the examination hall at 7.45 a.m.

  3. Dress Code: School Uniform

  4. The question papers will be distributed at 7.50 a.m. You may read the instructions given on the cover page of the question booklet carefully.

  5. DO NOT OPEN THE TEST BOOKLET UNTIL YOU ARE ASKED TO DO SO, at 8:00 a.m.

  6. The duration of NGSE Mains is 90 Minutes.

  7. Fill the information required in the answer sheet. Your test may not be evaluated if the required details are not entered on the answer sheet.

  8. You should complete your answer sheet by 9:30 p.m.

  9. Do not seek clarification on any item in the test booklet from anyone including the test invigilator or the center supervisor. Use your best judgment.

  10. In case of any problem with your test booklet, inform the invigilator immediately. You will be provided with a replacement.

  11. Class 4, 5, Class 11 and 12 students should mark only the most appropriate option for each question.

  12. Class 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 students should mark all the right answers (one or more right answers) or mark as instructed for each question, especially for Enhanced MCQs (EMCQs). Many questions can have one or more right answer options, if indicated in the question booklet. To score full marks for each question, bubbles for all the right answer options should be shaded. Shading one or more wrong bubble/s make the answer wrong. No marks are given for partial answers.

  13. Class 11 & 12 students will be given both the question papers of the subjects chosen with two answer sheets (Answer sheets are identical). They can start any paper of their choice. Remember to mark the subject code in the SRS. Both answer sheets will be given back after the scheduled 90 minutes. Please note that you cannot change the subject/s chosen.

  14. After the test, students will be given 5 minutes to complete the FEEDBACK FORM.

  15. All students should return their ADMIT CARD cum FEEDBACK FORM along with the completed answer sheets to the invigilator.

  16. Only BLACK/BLUE BALL POINT PEN should be used for marking answers on OMR sheet for all classes except for class 4 & 5. However, Classes 4 & 5 can use pencils. Do not use fountain pens/gel based pens or pencils. Remember that you cannot erase and re-shade the bubbles except for class 4 & 5.

  17. Use the margin in the test booklet for rough work. NO other piece of paper is permitted to be used for rough work.

  18. Use of standalone calculator (scientific or ordinary) is allowed. Mobile / Hand phones are strictly prohibited.

  19. NEGATIVE MARKS are not awarded.

Failure to follow instructions and examination norms will lead to disqualification.
