New millennium school Bahrain hosts its 10th interschool model united nations conference – NMMUN 2024
New Millennium School held its 10th New Millennium Modal United Nations (NMMUN) Conference, held on 15th and 16th November 2024, where over 450 attendees from 7 schools across Bahrain, took part as delegates and chairpersons in 14 councils like Suits, Lok Sabha, United Nations Security Council and many more.


Following the theme “Grassroots to the Global Stage,” delegates engaged in thought-provoking debates on pressing global issues. Discussions centered around amplifying youth voices in today’s world, addressing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis, and reinforcing India’s position as the largest secular democracy. The opening ceremony featured inspiring speeches, including an address by Mr. Ravi Kumar Jain, Second Secretary at the Indian Embassy, Kingdom of Bahrain. His words set the tone for a conference driven by diplomacy, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. Principal Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma extended his heartfelt blessings, encouraging students to make the most of this transformative experience.
The success of NMMUN X was the result of over four months of unwavering dedication and hard work by the organizing committee, meticulously guided by NMMUN Coordinator, Mrs. Meenakshi Mathur. Their efforts culminated in an event that not only upheld the legacy of excellence but also empowered young minds to take meaningful action on the global stage.

The New Millennium School, Bahrain organized its 8th Interschool Model United Nations Conference on 28th and 29th October 2022. The Chief Guest of the opening ceremony was His Excellency Piyush Srivastava, the Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Guest of Honor was Mr Ganesh Pillai, Director of Knowledge Management Group. This year’s NMMUN was the first in person MUN after the Covid period and witnessed the largest ever participation of over 350 students from various schools in Bahrain including St. Christopher School, British School of Bahrain, Asian School of Bahrain, Bahrain Indian School, Al Noor International School and the New Indian school


While addressing the delegates, the Indian Ambassador lauded the efforts of school in organizing the inter school event and offered valuable tips to the delegates, representing different countries. The two days event witnessed engaging and fruitful debates and discussions resulting into many resolutions from various councils such as the United Nations Security Council, International Court of Justice, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, League of Nations, United Nations Women, World Health Organization, International Monetary Fund, Disarmament and International Security, Joint Crisis Committee, International Federation of Association Football, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation and Lok Sabha.
